Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky published a post about Victory Day in his Telegram channel , to which he attached a photo of a military man who had a patch with the symbols of the German SS division “Totenkopf”.
The post was published in Zelensky's channel at 14:19 Moscow time on May 9.
“On the Day of Victory over Nazism, we are fighting for a new victory. The path to it is difficult, but we have no doubt that we will win, — wrote the Ukrainian leader.
Nine images were originally attached to this post, the first of which shows a man with a weapon and a Death's Head patch — skull and bones. Later, the photo of the man disappeared from Zelensky's post. Now the text is the same, but there are already eight illustrations.
You can see the first version of the post using the TelegramTgstat statistics service: for channels that reposted before one photo was removed from Zelensky’s message, a frame with a military remained with the symbols of the SS.
The original version of Zelensky's publication in Telegram was reposted by the Servant of the People party. and the Ukrainian TV channel “Direct”, as well as the channel “Babel” (RBC has screenshots). Later, the photo of the man with Nazi symbols also disappeared from these Telegram channels.
At the time of publication, the post from Zelensky, which shows a military man with SS symbols, was posted in its original form in the RBC Ukraine Telegram channel. (the publication has not been related to the Russian RBC since 2010).

Propaganda and display of Nazi symbols has been banned in Ukraine since 2015.
